As part of its commitment to improving graduate employability and expanding access to career opportunities for young professionals, RecruitTech HR Solutions recently hosted the RGEP Talent Summit in Lagos under its flagship initiative, the RecruitTech Graduate Employability Program (RGEP).

The summit brought together young professionals, HR leaders, founders, and industry experts to engage in practical conversations around workplace readiness, career positioning, and the value professionals must create to thrive in today’s competitive job market.

The event forms part of RecruitTech’s broader vision through RGEP to strengthen talent inclusion, provide career development support for emerging professionals, and facilitate stronger connections between employers and the next generation of talent.

Delivering a keynote address at the summit, Oluwatoyin Banjo, Program Director at Ideation Hub Africa, spoke on “Growth Mindset: Positioning Yourself for Career Acceleration in Today’s Workplace,” emphasizing the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and strategic positioning in a rapidly evolving professional landscape.

Another keynote speaker, Oluwakemi Sheba, an ICSN Certified Coach, addressed participants on “Rising Above Limiting Beliefs,” encouraging young professionals to overcome internal barriers that often limit their potential and career advancement.

The summit also featured a panel session with industry leaders including Paul Akolade, CEO of Vant Africa; Taobat Odedina, Managing Director of Eyinimofe World; Stephen Ajibola, HR Manager at CapitalSage Ltd; and Raphael Abayomi, Co-founder of Vant Africa. The panel discussion explored workplace expectations, value creation, and what employers truly reward in today’s professional environment.

Participants at the summit engaged in conversations around building relevant skills, understanding workplace dynamics, and positioning themselves for long-term career growth.

Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, Mayowa Ojo, Co-Founder of RecruitTech HR Solutions and Convener of the RGEP Talent Summit, explained that the program was created to address the growing gap between academic qualifications and workplace readiness.

According to him, “Through the RecruitTech Graduate Employability Program, our goal is to support young professionals with the exposure, insights, practical guidance and job placement needed to succeed in today’s workplace. The RGEP Talent Summit is one of the platforms we have created to connect emerging professionals with industry leaders while promoting conversations around employability, career development, and talent inclusion.”

He added that the initiative will continue to expand through training, mentorship, career support programs, job placement support and talent engagement platforms aimed at improving workforce readiness among graduates.

RecruitTech HR Solutions continues to champion initiatives that support talent development, workforce readiness, and professional growth, while building bridges between employers and emerging talent across Nigeria.
